"Immortal by Sound" Bracelets

In April 2015, I was commissioned to design a "rock-n-roll" bracelet as a birthday gift for the prolific, supremely talented, Milwaukee-area musician, Gabriel Sanchez. The only stipulations were that it needed to be black leather, have a masculine look, be wearable (by a man who plays drums, guitar, sings, and then some), and it needed to incorporate the title of his upcoming cd, "Immortal by Sound." After multiple design changes and refinements (and some help from my graphic-designer friend, Allison Salkeld), this cuff was born. The 18-gauge etched sterling silver panel mimics the shape of the cuff, and is attached with four fine-silver tube rivets. The lines on the panel were inspired by the background in the first music video for a single from his album, "Love that's in Your Eyes."
In advance of the "Immortal by Sound" CD-release party at Turner Hall Ballroom in January 2016, I created a second bracelet for Gabriel's good friend, and the woman who commissioned the original bracelet, Cari Cody. She is one of his biggest supporters, and it was an honor and a joy to create a similar, yet distinct bracelet for her. I stamped the album title on 18-gauge sterling silver,  and mounted the patinated panel to an adjustable leather wrap bracelet with fabricated silver tube rivets to match the rivets in Gabe's cuff. The show is tonight (1/16/16), and I can't wait to see it!
