Tired of more traditional styles of ear wires, I wanted to create a mechanical element that would allow the bulk of the earring to dangle in a predictable way. The subtle way in which they move is intentionally designed to draw interest and attention. Each pair is two sided, allowing the wearer to choose which side faces outward. I texture each pair by hand with various hammers, files, stamps, and a rusty railroad rail segment.
